Born in Nancy in 1960, Philippe Biclot studied the piano before devoting himself to percussion. In 1984, he obtained a first prize in percussion at the National School of Music of Créteil, in the class of Francis Brana. The same year, he passed the competitive examination for the Certificate of Aptitude for the functions of Professor of Percussion.

First percussion soloist of the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra since 1985, he participates in the creation of the “Azur Quartet Percussion” which, from 1985 to 1991, gives numerous concerts in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

With colleagues from the Alpes-Maritimes department, he is at the origin in 2003 of the creation of the association “Ça percute à” which organizes numerous events around percussions; he is part of the ensemble “Kerala percussions” which was born at the same time as the association.

After having taught in Saint Raphaël and Vence, he is now a teacher in the pedagogical team of the percussion department of the Conservatoire National à Rayonnement Régional de Nice with Raphael Aggery, Christophe Perez and Philippe Serra.
