Jean-Jacques Fimbel Jean-Jacques Fimbel studied guitar at the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Bourg-La-Reine (Antonio Membrado’s class), then with Betho Davezac (at the ENM of Meudon where he obtained a Gold Medal) with whom he studied the repertoires of the baroque and romantic guitar as well as the vihuela.

He perfected his skills with Alberto Ponce at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, where he obtained the Diploma in Guitar Performance, Music History, and Analysis, and also took the Writing course.
Holder of the State Diploma and the Certificate of Aptitude as a guitar teacher, he teaches guitar at the Conservatoire de Mulhouse. For several years, he has been responsible for teaching in the east of France, with the Cefedem of Burgundy and Lorraine.

Jean-Jacques FIMBEL performs regularly in concert (soloist, Arcadia duo on ancient instruments, guitar ensemble of Haute-Alsace, Dou Dodeca (2 guitars), Duo Atlantide (Cello and guitar) and various chamber music ensembles…) and he is regularly solicited for conferences.

He teaches guitar during master classes organized by the association Guitarmaniaks alongside Roland Dyens (International Guitar Week in Colmar), as well as during the summer ensemble music course in Buhl. He has recorded CDs and participated in various television programs (Arte, France 3).

He has taken part in festivals such as the Mulhouse Baroque Festival (1999-2008), the International Chamber Music Festival of Illzach 2003-2005 or the Badenweiler Festival in Germany 2006-2009…
