Daniel Sauvage
1965 – 2018
He studied percussion with Jean-Claude Chazal at the Conservatoire du Xème arrondissement in Paris, Guy-Joël Cipriani at the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Montreuil and François Dupin.
He won prizes in percussion, sight-reading, chamber music and music theory, and obtained a state diploma as a percussion teacher. He was also a prizewinner in the C.N.F.P.T. competition for specialized assistants.
He teaches percussion at the municipal school of music of Villers-Cotterêts and at the Conservatory of Tergnier, member of the orchestra of the Grand Théâtre de Reims, he directed the Intercommunity school of music of Villers-Cotterêts/Forêt de Retz.
Daniel Sauvage was passionate about teaching and pedagogy. Several of his compositions have been published and are very successful.
