Description

Last Week End on Mars, two violins and cd by Thierry Blondeau

Score for two or more violins with an electroacoustic part.

This score is written for two or more violins with an electroacoustic part. The piece is a soundscape in which the instruments will evolve as characters. Each page of the score corresponds to one minute of music. Musicians simply have to look at the counter on the CD player to know when to turn the page.

The CD includes two tracks, one with the electroacoustic part, the other with the complete performance.

We are in 3001, the Kubrik family has just spent a long weekend on Mars. Humans express themselves with sounds and not with words. So they take their instruments to relate their weekend.

First the stress of the earth’ cities, the sirens, the various vehicles, then finally the flight to Mars

We cross some disturbance zones, then we finally arrive on the red planet.

Archaeological visit of the remains of the Pathfinder sonde, excursions on a 5000 meters high canyon …

Now it’s up to you to tell the story of your own weekend on Mars with the Kubrik family.

Collection ” Carnets du 21e siècle “, directed by Bruno Giner.
