Three movements exploring the myth of Pan, a hybrid deity, half goat, half man.

1st movement: Pan’s Story
The story of Pan, from birth to death, through the turpitudes, contradictions, and obsessions of his existence.

2nd movement: Pan’s Meditation
Slow movement, calmer and more meditative, introspective

3rd movement: Valse de pan
Flute versus lyre! This movement is like a free interpretation of the musical duel between Pan and Apollo, in which Apollo charmed Tmolus (Τμώλος), the judge, into awarding him the victory.
