Study for oboe and electronics.

The notes of the oboe launch small rhythmic figures with a precise tempo, but in response, the electronics seem to both stretch and relax them, playing on their side like a rubber band.

These short, easy-to-play studies for solo instrument and electronics were designed in collaboration with conservatory instrument teachers for young students.

Their aim is to familiarize young instrumentalists with electronic sounds, some unusual techniques for their instrument that are common in contemporary music, and the reading of a strictly conventionally notated electronic part.
