Sheet music for solo guitar

Tiempos : cycle of four pieces for guitar(s). Commissioned by the Maison des pratiques amateurs (Paris).

A cycle of pieces with a deliberately Hispanic flavor, each of which (at different levels) explores a specific aspect of the instrument. Their difficulty of execution is inversely proportional to the number of guitars required.

Tiempo de fiesta for solo guitar (very difficult)

The season of celebration: so beloved by all Spanish people (whether from the south or north, the 17th or 21st century), the piece celebrates the very idea of celebration with its preparations, joy, excesses (virtuosity), and rest (well deserved).

Tiempo de saeta for eight guitars (easy- intermediate)

The season of the saeta: the piece is loosely based on the religious processions of Holy Week in Andalusia. At certain points during the procession, anyone can step out of the crowd and freely sing a saeta (a song) in honor of the Virgin or Christ to express their faith.

Tiempo de vientos for four guitars (intermediate – difficult)

The season of winds: Rhythmic and energetic, this quartet layers different sounds, freely inspired by the winds that regularly sweep across Catalonia (northern Spain and southern France).

Tiempo de colores for two guitars (difficult)

The season of colors: sonorous colors are on the menu for this relatively virtuoso duo. The second guitar benefits from a scordatura inherited from 17th- and 18th-century Spanish music, with the harmonic colors enriching each other from one guitar to the other.
